The photographs: how they are made, checked and kept honest
A photograph is the first promise a site like this makes, and it is the easiest one to break. So here is exactly what the images on these pages are, where they come from and what is never done to them.
Short version: the woman in the picture is the woman who arrives. Everything below is the long version.
What you are looking at
Glamour and lifestyle photography, shot for this book. Faces are softened, every one of them, and there is a reason that has nothing to do with mystery. The women on this book have jobs, courses and families in the other parts of their lives, and being unrecognisable is the deal they made when they let us list them at all. Nudity appears nowhere on this book, now or later.
The settings are ordinary on purpose: lamplight, daylight through a window, a coat, a dress. Nothing is shot to look like a magazine cover, because a magazine cover is not what walks through a hotel lobby in TW3 on a Tuesday.
Where they come from
Every set belongs to the woman it sits beside. Nothing is bought from a library, nothing is lifted from another site and nothing is generated. If a set were ever borrowed, the simplest test in this business would expose it immediately: the person who arrives would not be the person in the picture.
Sets are checked against her in person before publication and looked at again when she updates them. If she changes her hair, the pictures follow within a few weeks rather than a few years.
What is never done
No reshaping of a body, no slimming, no lengthening, no swapping of one face onto another set. Apart from the face, nothing is touched at all: height, shape, hair, colouring, the way she stands and the clothes she picked are left as they were shot, because a surprise at the front door is the one thing nobody forgives. You see her face properly when she is standing in front of you, and that is the only place it happens. Colour and light are adjusted the way any photographer adjusts them, and that is the end of it.
No photograph appears on this site without the woman in it agreeing to that specific image. She can have any picture removed at any time, for any reason or none, and it comes down the same day she asks.
If something does not match
Heights, colouring and age bands on the profiles are accurate and are checked against the photographs rather than written to flatter them. If a detail on a page and the woman in front of you disagree, tell Iris and it is corrected immediately.

What not to do with them
The pictures are ours and hers. Do not copy them, do not save them, do not put them up anywhere else and do not drop one into a reverse image search. That goes for every frame in On The Route as much as for a profile.
Trying to find out who she is outside this book ends a booking. So does photographing her or recording her without her written agreement: it stops there and then under the conduct clause in the terms, the fee stays with her, and she owes nobody a reason.
