How it is put together

In writing, once, before the first night. You give Iris the dates you are here, which evenings you want and roughly how long each one runs. Back comes one name with her availability against your whole stay, and a total that is simply those evenings added up with nothing extra bolted on.

Each evening's fee goes to the companion in person at the start of that evening, exactly as a single booking would, and each is confirmed in writing beforehand, along with her arrival time for that night, so the figure at the door matches the figure on the screen.

There is no package, no bundle and nothing that has to be committed to as a block. A week of five evenings is five bookings that happen to share a name and a diary, and any one of them can move or fall away without touching the others.

Why the same companion

Because the second evening is better than the first and the fourth is better again. She already knows what you do, what you thought of the restaurant on Monday and which of the two walks you preferred. None of that has to be built twice.

It also lets an evening be ordinary. By the third one nobody is performing, and a Wednesday can be a takeaway and a film without either of you feeling it was a waste of a booking.

The practical gain is smaller and just as real. She already knows the way to your hotel, which door is unlocked after ten and how long her own journey takes, so the last three evenings all start on time.

What a week out here can hold

More than a week in one hotel bar, if somebody plans it. A walk at Osterley while the estate is still open, then dinner on the Great West Road. An evening down at Feltham, where two hundred acres of water and reed beds sit ten minutes from the station and almost nobody uses them after six. A night at the river end of Isleworth. A late screening in Hayes. A dinner in Whitton.

Five evenings, five genuinely different places, none of them more than half an hour apart. That is the case for this borough and it only works if somebody with local knowledge is building the week.

Availability, and the honest answer

Nobody on this list is free every night of a given week and Iris will not pretend otherwise. What usually comes back is a name with three or four of your evenings available and a straight explanation of the gaps, plus a suggestion for the nights she cannot take if you would rather not have one empty.

Write early for this one. A week asked for a fortnight ahead usually gets the companion you wanted. A week asked for on the Sunday night before it starts gets whoever is genuinely free, which is a smaller and more random field.

Changing it once it has started

Expected, and easy. Work runs over, a dinner appears in the diary, a flight moves. Moving or dropping any single evening with three hours of notice costs nothing at all, and the rest of the week stands. The terms for shorter notice are the same as for every other booking and they are set out in full on the rates page.

Adding a night that was not in the original plan is usually possible if her diary has held, and it is arranged in one message rather than started from scratch. The same goes for stretching a Thursday from three hours into four once you know how the week has gone.

Five who take a whole week

Violetta works long evenings and overnights and is the obvious first suggestion for a stay. Karolina is back on the second of October and takes long bookings around Feltham and the lakes. Milena will not take anything under three hours and is at her best across several nights. Liana suits a week that is built around flights at either end.
