What is different about it

Nothing about the fee, the ladder or what is being arranged. What changes is the pace and the expectations. She asks about your week and actually listens to the answer. You are allowed to be tired, dull, mid sentence and wrong about something, and none of it costs you anything.

It is still an arrangement for time and companionship, plainly stated, and nothing further is offered or implied here or anywhere else on this site. What it offers is the ordinary texture of an evening with somebody who is good company, which is rarer than it ought to be.

The name on this page is the one guests use when they write in, so it is the name the page carries. What they are describing when they use it is almost always the same thing: an evening with the ceremony taken out of it.

Where it works best out here

Osterley is the easiest recommendation in the borough for this. A National Trust estate at the end of a long avenue, three minutes from a Piccadilly line platform, a lake and a walled garden, and then six lanes of the Great West Road and somewhere warm on the other side of it. That contrast does most of the work for you.

Twickenham is the other one: a gallery in a wood by the river, a towpath, then Church Street, which is the closest thing this side of the water has to a village evening. Both want daylight at the start, so an afternoon into evening booking suits them far better than a nine o'clock start.

An evening in, instead

Half of these never leave the building. Food ordered up, lamps low, shoes off, a film nobody watches properly. It is the version guests ask for after a long week, and several of the companions here are noticeably better at it than they are at a restaurant.

That works at a hotel and it works at a private address. If you have a preference, say which in your first message, because the companion Iris suggests will be different depending on the answer.

It is also the version that survives bad weather, a delayed train and a plan that fell apart at five in the afternoon, which in this borough in February is worth something.

How to ask for it

Describe the evening rather than the woman. Talkative or quiet, out or in, early or late, and whether you want somebody who will fill the gaps or somebody who is comfortable leaving them there. Two or three names come back with a reason attached to each, and the reasons are honest, including when the answer is that a particular name would not suit you.

The four things that make a reply fast are the same as everywhere else on this site: the date, the hour, how long, and the road or hotel. The booking page has the whole of it in order.

Length, and why the short one disappoints

Ninety minutes exists and some guests use it well, usually people who are already nearby and already know her. For anybody else it is thin, because this booking is mostly made of the part after the first half hour.

Two hours at £500 is the sensible floor and four hours at £900 is where it stops feeling like a booking at all. If you want to extend once she is with you, ask before the last booked minute and, if her evening is clear, it steps up one rung with the difference handed to her at the time.

None of the figures move for the hour or the day. A Sunday afternoon in Isleworth and a Friday night in TW3 cost the same for the same length, which makes this the easiest booking on the site to plan around a week that has not been decided yet.
