About Vanessa
Windmill Lane in Osterley is barely a minute from the Piccadilly line, and Vanessa uses that far more than she uses a car. She is 173 cm and slim, with long sandy brown hair lightened through the lengths and hazel eyes, and she carries herself calmly enough that people routinely assume she is older than she is. She dresses in neutrals, well cut, and wears almost no jewellery at all.
Mid twenties, English speaking, unhurried. She asks good questions and then leaves proper space for the answers, and she is genuinely uninterested in small talk about the weather. She keeps a notebook in her bag and will not tell you what is in it, which she knows is irritating and does not intend to stop. She takes her time answering a question, which throws people at first and then becomes the thing they like best about her.
The Hare and Hounds stands on Windmill Lane with a large garden behind it, two minutes from Osterley station, and in summer it is the most pleasant place in TW7 to spend two hours doing almost nothing at all. She likes an early booking there, then dinner five minutes away on the A4, which is where the beds and the late kitchens happen to be. Paddington is home, and she comes out by underground with one change at Hammersmith rather than sitting in traffic on the Golden Mile. Three quarters of an hour, and it costs her nothing in temper.
Long, slow, undemanding evenings are what she is for. The Osterley page has the ground, and booking is the way to arrange one.

Booking Vanessa
She takes a six o'clock start in the garden and dinner after it, which is three hours at £700. Four at £900 if you would like the evening to finish when it finishes.
Every figure she works to is printed on the fare board, and the four steps from message to doorbell sit on the booking page.

An evening with Vanessa
Six o'clock in a pub garden on Windmill Lane, which in July is somewhere you would genuinely choose to be and in January is somewhere you look at through a window. Either way she is easy to sit with, and she does not need the evening to be doing anything in particular in order to enjoy it.
Dinner is on the Great West Road, five minutes by car, where the hotels are and the kitchens run late. She is the least demanding company imaginable and yet the evening never drifts, because she keeps asking the next question. People book her when they have had a week that took everything and they want somewhere quiet to put it down. She never once makes a quiet stretch feel like an awkward one.
Vanessa, on the record
Q.01What is in the notebook?
Nothing improper and nothing about anybody I have met. That is all you are getting, and I am aware that answer makes it worse.
Q.02Why Osterley?
Because it is two minutes from a tube station and it still feels like the edge of the countryside. There is a park, a very old pub and almost no traffic once you are off the main road.
Q.03Do you mind a quiet evening?
I prefer one. If you want to sit in a garden for two hours and say very little, that is a real booking and I will be perfectly happy in it.
