Blondes: four names, four very different evenings

Two by the river

Cindy is the palest of the four, long wavy blonde hair she mostly leaves alone, blue eyes, 168 cm and slim. She wants a daylight start, because Church Street ends at the Thames and the tide coming up over the causeway is the whole reason to be there. Two hours covers a drink by the water and dinner in the village; three covers the towpath first.

Nora is honey blonde, hazel eyed, 166 cm and built by moving about rather than by sitting still. Her end of Isleworth is the bottom of Swan Street and her evenings are riverside ones. She is back on the twenty ninth of September, and dates from then can be held now.

Caramel, out past the Crane

Thea is the warmest shade of the four and by some way the least ceremonious person on this list. Green eyes, 165 cm, a curved frame she dresses comfortably, and a preference for an early dinner in TW13 followed by a walk on the old air park while there is still light in the sky.

She takes long evenings from an early start, which is the opposite of most of the airport end of the book and the reason a particular sort of guest asks for her twice.

Gold, and a late table in UB3

Nancy wears the brightest gold here, blue eyed, 170 cm, curved and entirely unbothered about it. Her evenings are theatre nights and dinners that run long afterwards, twenty minutes out from Covent Garden on the Elizabeth line, which is the single fact about Hayes that guests refuse to believe until they have done it once.

She is the one on this page most likely to say yes to a date asked for the same week. A Friday still wants a couple of days of warning; a Tuesday rarely does.

How the shades are recorded

As they look this month, in ordinary daylight, on a street. Nancy's is the brightest, Cindy's the palest and loosest, Nora's honey sits between the two, and Thea's caramel is the warmest of them. A portrait may have its colour balance corrected; a shade is never changed. When a colour changes with the season the pictures are replaced rather than described around.

Where the four reappear

Cindy stands under slim and slender and Nora under toned and athletic. Thea and Nancy both appear in curvaceous, Thea in late twenties and Nancy in thirties and beyond. Four shades, then, and five other lists that lead straight back to the same four women.
