Petite: seven small frames, and what they do with a room
Seven women on this list, running from 158 cm upwards, and the thing they have in common is not a number. It is that none of them is remotely quiet in a room, which is either a coincidence or a rule and nobody here has decided which.
Heights below are measured rather than estimated. Everything else is a description in plain words, and nobody on this page is being compared with anybody on any other.
Petite, on the route
The smallest, and the fastest
Tina is 158 cm, athletic, espresso brown, and starts her Brentford afternoons early because she would rather have daylight in a booking than not. Three minutes from the station, quick on her feet and quicker in conversation.
Rosa is 160 cm and curvy, chestnut brown curls, and she plans a Twickenham afternoon against the tide rather than the clock. Sundays are her best day and she will say so.
Whitton, and the river towns
Jasmin is 160 cm, petite and very straight backed, chestnut brown, brown eyed, and she reads taller than the tape allows. She takes a six o'clock start so that Crane Park Island still has light in it, then dinner on the Whitton high street. She asks questions until the bus comes.
Lea is 161 cm, auburn and hazel eyed, and knows the buildings nobody visits on the Twickenham river. Tiffany carries a petite frame at 169 cm, chocolate brown, and walks in from Strawberry Hill. She is back on the fourth of October.
The airport end
Sonya is 162 cm and athletic, hazel eyed, four minutes from the central terminals on the Piccadilly line, and back on the eighth of October. Lucy is 163 cm and slender, dark curls, and she is the one who meets long haul arrivals at Terminal 5, where the walkway from the hall puts a guest in a chair a quarter of an hour after clearing it.
Both work to the three hour minimum that applies at Heathrow, with the travel counted inside the booking rather than added to it. That is not a rule about this list. It applies to everybody who works the terminals.
What the number is for
It is there because guests ask, and because a photograph tells you nothing about scale. It is not there as a ranking and it does not move a figure. Two people on this page are among the most striking in the book and neither of them is tall.
If height genuinely matters to you in the other direction, the list of nine from 172 cm upwards is under statuesque, and the two pages between them account for more than half of the book.
Where the seven also appear
Lea sits in auburn and red, Rosa in curvaceous, Lucy in slim and slender, Sonya and Tina in toned and athletic, and the rest across brunettes.
